On 25-26 June, Rijkswaterstaat (Lead Partner, NL) hosted the Circular Shift project kick-off meeting in Utrecht.
Over two days, representatives from the 10 project partners set goals, defined their organisational values and ways of working, and discussed at length how to execute the 3 work packages that make up the project.
After a busy first day held at the impressive Rijkswaterstaat head office, partners were joined by associated partners in the Noordertuin garden centre for a masterclass with Prof. Dr. Jacqueline Cramer about circular public procurement. The two days in Utrecht also represented an initial opportunity for team-building. Coming from five countries in the North-West Europe region, the ten partners (and their associated partners) had hitherto principally met online. Collaboration being pivotal to the success of the project, the in-person summit was invaluable.
Over the next weeks and months, the partners will progress with project deliverables, communication, and stakeholder engagement as they drive forwards a circular shift.
